The C&C Energy Meter is based on semiconductor technology and is intended to replace the conventional electromechanical (Ferraris type) commonly used power meter. Single or double element versions are available making the units suitable for single phase two wire or single phase three wire systems. As the unit has two elements, with suitable adaption it can also be employed on three phase three wire or three phase four wire systems. Output is in the form of a LCD display of kWhrs and a galvanically isolated RS485 bus signal employing MODBUS protocol. The meter is provided with a non-volatile memory system that ensures that the readings are not lost or altered when the unit is switched off or supply difficulties are experienced.
