The LP-SSC is a bi-directional serial data converter for RS232 and RS485. It has a standard RS232 port on one side and a half duplex RS485 port on the other. Directional control of the RS485 port is by the RTS line on the RS232 port. The unit is designed to enable a standard computer comms port access to a RS485 multidrop serial data bus.
