The SMARTloggerTM series of instruments are designed to address the top reasons that monitoring is sometimes skipped - price and complexity.
SMARTloggers are inexpensive and require no connections. Is your question one of lighting? Put the LIGHTINGlogger in a light fixture or a room and hit "reset". The built in sensor will take it from there. Need data about a single motor, fan or compressor? Place the Maglogger near the unit or secure with the included Velcro®.
For special situations the CTlogger comes to the rescue, A built in clamp on Current Transformer lets you select exactly the input you want to monitor. All the SMARTloggers^TM have a 10 year battery, and are so simple to install and use that there isn't even an on/off switch. The LIGHTINGlogger and the MAGlogger have no physical connection, using there built in sensors to monitor loads.
