Shunts

(Showing 6 of 6)

DC Ammeter Shunts allow the measurement of current values too large to be directly measured by a particular ammeter by taking high amperage (10A +) down to 50 or 100mV reading. The shunt connects in parallel with the ammeter and forms an alternative path for a portion of the current. Shunt voltage drop is used in conjunction with an ammeter to measure amperage of a circuit.

Hoyt carries a full line of DC Current Shunts from 1ADC to 30,000ADC with 50 or 100MVDC outputs. Various sizes, configurations, and mounting styles are available.
